Hi Rebecca!

I think Natasha emailed this recipe to you after I emailed it to her. The Betty Crocker cookbook I have is from the 70s--my mom had the book while I was growing up so when I saw it at a book sale I grabbed it right away. I have to laugh at the "new microwave recipes" section--did people really bake with their microwaves back then? ;)

We use this buttercream frosting all the time for sugar cookies--glad it worked for you!

Thank you so much for this, very interesting. I've been searching high and low for a specific pasta dish that my wife and I had on our first date in this nice Italian restaurant that has since closed. I found an entire site with just pasta recipe ideas (you might be interested) but so far still no luck in finding the one! Damnit... I'm fairly certain it had muscles in it.. Any ideas?

Wow! What a website. You have a real knack for making a blog readable and easy on the eyes. Some sites look like train wrecks, but not this one - it's a pleasure to read. I can't wait to try out one of the recipes here. I'll bookmark your site and keep coming back. Keep up the great work, and bon appetit!

@Court: he mentions that too --even just a bowl of cold water -- but it was the knife should be sharp part that caught my eye since my knives growing up were so horrid and I was always crying!

Thanks for visiting.

Totally unrelated to knives, but I heard that if you stick the onions in the freezer for a little bit before cutting them, then they also don't make you cry.
